Dr. Biggerstaff is a Family Nurse Practitioner with 15 years' experience in rural primary care and substance use disorder. She is (as of June 1st ) an Associate Professor of Nursing at Pacific Lutheran University. She holds a doctorate of nursing from Frontier Nursing University and a Masters in Public Health from University of California at Berkeley.

I am a neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) who graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2003. I have spent my career working at Seattle Children’s. I began working as an NNP in the Neonatal ICUs at Children’s and affiliated hospitals attending deliveries and managing sick infants and newborns. In 2018, I transitioned to infectious disease research, where I have been working on projects related to pediatric COVID vaccines, RSV prevention medications, and other issues related to public health.
