This presentation introduces healthcare professionals to Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) with a pediatric focus. Using a real-world case study, the talk walks through the complex diagnostic journey many children experience before receiving a proper POTS diagnosis. The session defines POTS, reviews autonomic nervous system physiology, and explores the pathophysiology, clinical features, comorbidities, and diagnostic criteria of the syndrome.

Key learning points include:
The mnemonic P.O.T.S. (Patient history, Orthostatics, Tilt table testing, Symptom acknowledgement)
Common pediatric symptoms and misdiagnoses
The importance of validating patient experiences
Management strategies including nonpharmacological and pharmacological interventions
A call to action for clinicians to utilize The Dysautonomia Project as an educational and clinical resource
The presentation concludes with a discussion of educational tools, clinical training opportunities, and ways to increase provider awareness and patient support.
