Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Urgent Care - In Home Care

$15,000 Sign-On Bonus!

Our client is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver in-home urgent care services in the Tacoma, WA area.

  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary of $150,000 - $165,000 per year.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 10-hour shifts with a minimum of 14 shifts per month.
  • Shifts rotate between 8AM-6PM, 9AM-7PM, 10AM-8PM, and 12PM-10PM.
  • Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per month (either every other weekend or one weekend shift per week).
  • Flexible scheduling options (e.g., work 6 days consecutively, then take 6 days off).
  • Caseload of 6-8 in-home patient visits per day, all within close proximity around Tacoma, WA.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical evaluations.
  • Provide direct patient care services, including suturing, stapling, splinting, IV medication administration, catheter insertion, UTI treatment, rapid infectious disease testing, wound care, and more.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, Social Workers, Dietitians, and a Medical Technician.
  • Prescribe necessary medications/treatments and educate patients and families on medication usage.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, etc.) or Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care.
  • Experience with suturing and splinting.
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA license.
