Our acute care facilities include Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Emergency Department, and Richmond Hospital, among others, offering a diverse range of opportunities.

Residencies and Supports:
We provide thorough onboarding and support for new and experienced NPs in all settings and programs. Our Urgent Care, Emergency Care, Acute Care and Mental Health and Substance Use postgraduate residencies are designed to mentor and educate NPs, helping them build competency and skills while working in dynamic team-based care environments.

Qualifications
Education and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
- Current, full registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Clinical competency and certification in relevant specialty areas preferred.
Closing Statement
As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. For all new hires and appointments to Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be asked to provide this information as part of the onboarding process.
