During Nurse Legislative Day, you'll learn how to be a powerful advocate for all patients in Washington.
Learn about the critical issues facing nurses, nursing and health in Washington this year, but most importantly, you'll discover how you can make a difference in Olympia.
As a nurse, you have one of the most trusted and respected voices — it's time to use it!
Join us Monday, February 1, 2016 for morning education sessions at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, followed by afternoon advocacy at the Legislative Building of the Washington State Capitol.

7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Registration
8:30 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. Welcome: WSNA President Jan Bussert and NSWS President Elizabeth York
8:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Keynote: Governor Jay Inslee (invited)
9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. What's at stake in 2016: WSNA's legislative priorities for the year
10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Using your voice: How to be an effective advocate
10:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Break
11:00 a.m. – noon Legislative district strategy sessions: Meet with nurses and students from your legislative district to plan afternoon legislative visits and discuss effective ways to communicate with legislators
Noon – 12:45 p.m Lunch: Pick up lunches at the CapitolMake an impact: Visit legislators with your legislative district group and attend hearings
1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Make an impact: Visit legislators with your legislative district group and attend hearings
Continuing nursing education contact hours will be awarded for this event.
