IUD Reimbursement Less Than Cost of Device

AUWS is looking for individuals or practices that have identified that Premera Blue Cross is reimbursing less for an IUD than the cost of IUD to the practice. We are aware of underpayments in the $300/device range. If this is happening to your practice please send information to tracy@npcentral.net. We'll need IUD name, J-code (if you can find it), and reimbursement level to try and get a better picture of what is going on. Additional insurances may be involved but remains to be determined. We believe this started after 1/1/2016. Thanks.
