Calling Psychiatric ARNPs: Community-Based Integrated Care Fellowship application

Posted almost 7 years ago by Nancy Lawton

The Integrated Care Training Program in the University of Washington’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Community-Based Integrated Care Fellowship. This CME-accredited year-long program welcomes psychiatric providers (psychiatrists, psychiatric ARNPs, and psychiatric PAs) seeking additional training to deliver integrated care in community-based settings. Modeled after employed MBA programs, this training program is structured as an employment-friendly program with a priority of flexibility in scheduling, including a self-paced distance learning component and quarterly in-person specialized skills work sessions.  The fellowship focuses on developing skills to deliver population mental health, with an emphasis on leveraging psychiatric expertise through consultation and collaboration with primary care and mental health care providers.

This fellowship is free for Washington state providers and starts in March 2019. Learn more about the program and how to apply on our website:  http://ictp.uw.edu/programs/community-based-integrated-care-fellowship.

Training activities will focus on:

  • Core Collaborative Care Skills
  • Telepsychiatry
  • Establishing an Integrated Care Practice
  • Delivering Care for Special Populations
  • Ins and Outs of Billing/Payment Codes

Please feel free to pass on the attached description to any psychiatric provider you think might be interested.  Please note the deadline for application is October 5, 2018. Any interested trainees can also contact the Integrated Care Training Program Director, Anna Ratzliff, MD, PhD at uwictp@uw.edu.
