2018 Physician and Advanced Practitioner Wellness Survey
Posted almost 7 years ago by Nancy Lawton
According to national data, health care professionals experience unique stressors and suffer from higher rates of burnout, depression and suicide than the general population. We want physicians, PAs and ARNPs in Washington state to have a different experience.
To that end, WSMA and the Washington State Hospital Association have jointly launched an effort to address the fourth goal of the Quadruple Aim: improving the experience of providing care. We need your help!
To guide this effort, WSHA and WSMA have partnered with Stanford Medicine as part of a multi-center National Academic Consortium on Physician Wellness. The consortium created a unique survey instrument that will enable us to measure the degree of overwhelm and professional well-being, as well as benchmark with other institutions and track progress. The results of the survey will inform areas to be targeted for improvement initiatives. Though ARNPs United did not participate in the development of this survey but we will engage in developing the initiatives from its results.
An email inviting you to begin the survey was circulated. If you could give us 15 minutes, your input will influence the direction of our wellness initiatives. This Physician and Advanced Practitioner Wellness Survey is specifically designed to help us understand how you are impacted by variables such as the EHR, leadership and control over your schedule and workload. The information gathered will drive initiatives intended to improve your well-being, professional satisfaction and personal fulfillment in your work.
