Upcoming transitions for the Prescription Monitoring Program

Posted about 5 years ago by Nancy Lawton

The Washington Prescription Monitoring Program (WA PMP) will be changing software systems on April 21, 2020. We will be moving from RxSentry to the Appriss PMP AWARxE software.

How It Affects Me:

Your account will be transferred to the new system. You will receive an email notification when the new system goes live on April 21, 2020, with details about the new website, including login information and a guide for how to run a patient search. If you do not find this email, please check your email’s Junk or Spam folder.

***NOTE: If you currently access PMP data through your EHR, no action is required at this time.***

In the new PMP AWARxE system, an email address can only be tied to one user account. User accounts that share the same e-mail address will NOT be transferred to the new system. If your account is not transferred to the new system because you share the same email address as another user, you will be required to submit a new registration before you will be able to access the new system.

Delegate Process:

Delegates – logging in to your new account will involve requesting access from your supervising providers. Please be prepared to enter the email address (new User ID) of the supervising provider(s) you request patient reports on behalf of.

Supervising Providers – within your new account you will be presented with a list of delegates that have requested approval to perform queries on your behalf. You may approve or deny requests within your account. You must approve delegates within your new account prior to them running requests on your behalf.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the DOH PMP help desk at 1-360-236-4869 or email us at prescriptionmonitoring@doh.wa.gov.
