Would you be willing to participate in a brief research study? The purpose of this research is to identify what the effect of a telehealth education course is on participants’ confidence and knowledge in telehealth use. You will be asked to complete 4  short confidential surveys prior to taking a telehealth continuing education course online, right after completion of the course, and three months later. The telehealth education course will be offered online through the Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA) and contact hours can be obtained when all requirements are met. The telehealth knowledge survey includes an 11-item questionnaire used to measure telehealth etiquette knowledge. The telehealth confidence survey is a 12-item questionnaire used to measure confidence in providing telehealth use. The telehealth education course is a self-directed video focusing on telehealth considerations for physical assessment and treatment of patients. We anticipate the length of the surveys and education course online to take approximately one hour. The first 90 participants to complete the 3-month follow-up surveys will also receive a $10 Amazon e-gift card to thank you for your time and effort during the study.

Thank you for your time and willingness to participate in our study, Virtual Vignettes: Telehealth Considerations for Physical Assessment and Treatment. Please proceed to WSNA’s website to enroll in the telehealth course, to participate in the study, and obtain continuing education hours.
