During this training, you will: Learn the history of the Death with Dignity Act in Washington state, including important changes in the law as of July 23, 2023, with special importance to ARNPs. Understand how the law works to enable qualified patients to choose to end their lives using Medical Aid in Dying (MAID). You will also learn the role you can play in helping your patients who wish to use MAID. Learn about the new role for ARNPs in participating in the DWD Act. Review best practices in providing end-of-life counseling to patients
