Overview

As you continue developing your EKG interpretation skills, a lingering concern often arises: "What if I'm missing something?" This session addresses that critical question. EKGs can harbor subtle abnormalities that, at first glance, might appear benign, potentially leading to adverse patient outcomes if overlooked. Conversely, some EKGs may seem alarming initially, yet are expected findings when contextualized with the patient's pathophysiology and clinical history. In the Sneaky EKGs session, we will utilize the nine-step systematic approach introduced in Anatomy of an EKG – Introduction to EKG Interpretation to examine various EKGs that exemplify both categories. This session will equip you with the skills to differentiate these findings, fostering optimal patient management outcomes. Become adept at spotting the subtle signals that others might miss, arming yourself with tools that enhance your clinical practice.
